Say hello to La Caja Mágica, the mould that feels a little like opening a secret toolbox you didn’t know you needed.

I’ve been playing around with it this week and, honestly, it’s kind of addictive. The dividers click in so easily that you end up thinking, alright, maybe I will try a second design in the same pour. Or a third. Why not. It turns one batch into a whole set of experiments, which is half the fun of making soap anyway.

The hinged sides are a small thing, although once you use them, you wonder why all moulds don’t work like this. No wrestling or muttering while the loaf sticks. It opens, and out it comes.

The whole thing is pine, solid in the hands, and the lid has this recycled plywood that gives it a bit of character. Feels like something you’ll keep around for years.
