If you're making larger batches of soap, a good mould needs to do more than hold your soap batter. It needs to be sturdy, practical and easy enough to work with that you aren't fighting the equipment.
 
Our Slab / Loaf Soap Moulds are made from pine and designed for soap makers who want the flexibility of working with larger slab-style batches.
 
And there is another reason we like these moulds.
 
You can add a divider kit and turn one large pour into multiple sections.
 
That means you can make different batches or experiment with different designs within the same mould, without needing several separate moulds taking up space in your workspace.
 
These moulds are suited to soap makers who work with larger batches, want to experiment with slab-style designs, or would like the option of dividing a mould into multiple sections.
 
They can be a particularly useful choice for makers who are moving beyond smaller loaf moulds and want more room to work.
 
If you regularly make different soap varieties, the divider option can also give you more flexibility from a single mould.

The moulds are available in three sizes, all with a depth of 9 cm.
30 × 30 × 9 cm
Internal volume: approximately 8.10kg
A larger slab size for makers who want more room for bigger batches and larger designs.
 
26 × 26 × 9 cm
Internal volume: approximately 6.08kg
A medium-sized option that gives you plenty of working space without going all the way to the largest mould.
 
20 × 20 × 9 cm
Internal volume: approximately 3.60kg
A smaller slab option for makers who want the slab format while working with a more manageable batch size.
 
All three sizes are made to order.
 
Volume capacities are calculated from the internal dimensions and represent the maximum internal volume of the mould. Actual soap batter capacity will depend on the recipe and how much space you leave when filling the mould.
 
Designed with practical details in mind
The mould has two strong hinges along each long side, allowing the sides to open for easier unmoulding.
 
The short sides are secured using a long screw and butterfly screws, while the handles make the mould easier to lift and carry.
 
The internal walls and base are coated with food-grade timber oil. The exterior is left uncoated, making it easier to tape your liner paper into place.
 
The lid is oiled inside and out for added durability.

Want to make more than one batch in a single pour?
Divider kits are available for these moulds, allowing you to create multiple sections inside the mould.
 
This gives you the opportunity to experiment with different soaps, colours or designs within one larger mould.

These moulds must be lined before use.
There are currently no silicone liners available for these moulds, so a suitable liner needs to be fitted before pouring your soap batter.
